Miriam was in both the band and orchestra at South Sevier High School. She played piano, flute, and Uncle Alfred's piccolo.


Miriam loved to play the recording of this march on the Fourth of July,, fondly recalling the times she played the famous piccolo obbligato in her South Sevier High School Band.
